10/01/12....

Above is our first attempt at a puppet made of paper. At first I thought it was silly but as we progressed, seeing how the paper moves and what shapes it can make helped me show that you can make theatre out of nearly everything. We made a scene with our puppet: it was a girl walking along a road with a ballon, a flower grew, but then she fell over, dropped the balloon and it started to rain.
The second picture is a picture of my journal with all the new theatre games that we learnt today. They can be used in workshops and are helpful for developing skills for the stage.

I observed in dance today and found that if you spend one lesson once in a while just observing you see things a lot clearer. Like when you're moving and you feel self-conscious and awkward, you actually look like a dancer and the atmosphere is calm, peaceful, relaxed and tranquil. Everyone moves differently, and that's ok :)
I also have come to realise that all movement no matter how small is dance. Everything is dance.
