So today I got so e new dance shoes for KSA in September! I got some more pointe shoes as my last pair I grew out of. This is something new for me as these are my 4th pair of pointes and the my first 2 I broke in really fast (they where Blochs) and after braking them in so fast I was recommended a pair of Grisscos, these where lovely however they where very narrow, and I do have narrow feet, however, like I said I grew out of them (very odd!). So these are my new pair of Blochs, and I must say they are the so comfey! They have a V at the front as well which I find really compliments the foot, another thing that also compliments the foot is the fact the shoes has a nature arch to it. Iv also found the shoe has some extra padding in the toe. I still have to kettle them (put the shoe open over a boiling kettle and then gently wiggle the shoe to help it give a bit for dance), tape the ends (so I don't slip) and pop the ribbons and elastic on! I LOVE. GETTING NEW POINTE SHOES!!!
I also got some more character shoes today. These are leather Newyorkers. They are actually my first pair of adult character shoes, my kids one have lasted me so long however it's getting to the stage where I'm the only girl on stage with out Newyorkers! These are also recommended by KSA. Like all dance shoes I find I have to go a whole shoe size down, lots of people forget about this with dance shoes, however I have found with dance sneakers I have to go a size up.... The strange life of a dancers shoes size!
