Unwritten Dance was formed by Andrea Buckley (http://contactimprovisation.co.uk/teacher_15.htm) and used some of the second year dance students in Coventry University.
I noticed that they did a lot of movements that we do now in first year and this made me feel more confident about my course and also gave me ideas about how these moves cannot only be exercises to help you build yourself as a dancer, but how they can be used in dance art work.
My portrayal of the show was that it was taking you back to your home life. They used a lot of vocal work all talking over each other and moving in supporting ways as if they were friends or siblings. They also used lots of items which they put around the fireplace. They were very homely items which made me think that they were personal to them. Also they had a bouncy ball they were playing with throughout the show which is what made me think that they were using childhood as one of their inspirations.
