Choreography Advice!

So! I was choreographer of Cov uni's MTS for 2 years (in which we did 3 shows!)
I did learn a lot from this and this is the advice I would like to pass on to the next choreographer :)

- just because someone gives you advice doesn't mean you have to take it
- if someone doesn't like your choreography, they don't have to be in that dance :)
- be strong
- it's not about doing a dance to be popular in the cast, it's about making something that will look amazing!
- if someone refuses to do a move because it's too hard, work them till they can do it!
- try and dances the dances 3 times through before teaching
- wright L and R on your hands
- when someone questions you about your choreography stick by your work

Lots of people didn't like my choreography until it was on the stage. I fact a few cast members changed by choreography because they didn't like it. End of the day the feed back given was that the dances at got changed where not the best ones in the show. If I had been stronger I could have put my foot down and made all the dances amazing, however the people making the fuss where the ones who looked silly on stage and I guess that they had to learn to listen and trust the choreographer the hard way.
