'Read/listen to a recording of The Waste Land by T.S Elliott. 1992'
The first part doesn't correspond with the title. It makes me think of hope rather than of death. I makes me think of those flowers in bulbs that grow and die and then come back next year. I don't understand some of the words. *starnbergersee *colonnade *hofgarten *archduk. 10 seems like young love, freinds who have something more. 15 is reminiscing about a family holiday and child hood memories. 20 , the growth of a tree maybe representing the growth of life, maybe about how harsh life is 'the dead tree gives you no shelter, the cricket no relise, and the dry stone on the sound of water'. The next few parts are to me about talking about the things he loves about a girl and about how beautiful she is.
