We looked at making puppets in unusual forms.
We used UV
You can make abstract sceens using UV or an under the sea sceen because of the way you can make your body move and with the added affect of darkness it makes the sceen that bit more magical.
We also used Shadows.
When you have a projector you can take 'shadow pupets' to another level. Using cut out shapes, your bodys and a little bit of over acting you can creat dramatic sceens with great ease.
So far these are my favorite kinds of puppets because they are easy to do and look very effective. I have also seen shows with this kind of puppetry in and they are very good, providing they are not over over acted because that makes your performance look tacky.
